Femi Otedola Shortlisted for African Business Book Awards
Femi Otedola's 'Making It Big' shortlisted for 4th BCA African Business Book of the Year Awards. The Nigerian billionaire's book competes with 9 other works including 'How we made it in Africa II' and 'How Africa works'. Winner takes home $10,000 trophy at London ceremony July 3.
The awards, now in their fourth year, spotlight compelling business writing examining Africa's economic transformation. Supported by Africa Finance Corporation, the shortlist reflects business stories across the continent from Lagos to Johannesburg, Accra to Nairobi.
The judging panel features African business heavyweights including Arnold Ekpe (BCA Chair), Arunma Oteh (former Nigeria SEC DG), and Chris Ogbechie (former Lagos Business School Dean). Last year's winners included works by Arunma Oteh and Toni Kan on African capital markets and COVID-19 response.
For Nigerian entrepreneurs and business students, this recognition validates homegrown business wisdom on the global stage. Will Otedola's lessons from Nigeria's business ecosystem take the top honor?
