Federal Government declares Thursday, March 19 and Friday, March 20, 2026, as public holidays to mark Eid-ul-Fitr. Permanent Secretary Magdalene Ajani announced the declaration on behalf of the Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo. The Minister congratulated Muslims nationwide on Ramadan completion, urging virtues of love, generosity, peace, tolerance, and sacrifice. He called on all Nigerians to pray for peace, unity, and progress during the festivities and encouraged responsible celebration with kindness to the less privileged.
