The Federal Government has established Nigeria House Davos ahead of the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026, scheduled for January 19-23, 2026, in Davos, Switzerland. This marks Nigeria's first official National House on the Davos Promenade, designed to project the country's economic reforms, investment readiness and cultural identity to global decision-makers.

According to Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director of Information at the Presidential Villa, the initiative aims to strengthen foreign direct investment inflows and deepen strategic partnerships under the Renewed Hope Agenda. The project operates through a Public-Private Partnership framework involving the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, collaborating with private sector partners. Eviola & Co Integrated Services Ltd leads execution in consortium with Lex-Con Advisory Services Ltd and UFAM Services Nigeria Ltd.

Nigeria House Davos will serve as a sovereign convening platform for five days of ministerial engagements, high-level roundtables, policy dialogues, investment meetings, cultural diplomacy and bilateral discussions. Key themes include solid minerals and mining value chains, trade infrastructure and agriculture, climate investment and energy, digital trade and technology, and the creative economy.

For decades, leading nations have used Davos Houses for soft power and economic diplomacy. This positions Nigeria alongside them, presenting reforms and investment opportunities directly to global decision-makers. Strategic participation is encouraged from public institutions, private sector, and development finance partners to ensure unified, dignified representation. Is Nigeria positioning itself correctly to attract the foreign investment needed to drive these reforms, or will competing global challenges overshadow these efforts?
