FG seeks Startup Act consultants for states - EOI due June 29
The Federal Government, through the Bank of Industry's iDICE Programme, is hiring a consultant to domesticate Nigeria's Startup Act across states, with Expressions of Interest due June 29, 2026 at 3pm WAT. This follows financing from AfDB, AFD and IsDB to boost entrepreneurship, innovation and jobs in Nigeria's digital and creative sectors through the Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (iDICE) Programme.
The consultancy requires firms with 20+ years' law experience, DFIs background, tech sector expertise and policy advocacy skills to establish policy working groups, map gaps, engage stakeholders (including NITDA and State Governments), develop implementation plans and support state-level Startup Act domestication. Eligible firms must submit hard and soft copy EOIs (max 25 pages) to BOI Tower 1, 9th Floor, FCT-Abuja by the deadline, with TOR available at www.boi.ng/idicetor.
This matters because state-level Startup Act adoption could unlock tax incentives, easier business registration and funding access for tech startups nationwide - directly affecting entrepreneurs' ability to scale. For consulting firms, it's a high-profile opportunity to shape national innovation policy under AfDB/AFD/IsDB-funded initiatives.
If your law firm meets the 20-year experience and tech sector criteria, will you prepare your EOI before June 29th to influence how Nigeria's Startup Act works in your state, or let others shape the policy framework first?
