Flam, an AI interactive content company, closed a $40 million Series B funding round led by QED Investors. Claypond Capital, Martin Chavez, Olivier Pomel, Venky Harinarayan, and Shah Rukh Khan joined the round, while existing investors RTP Global and Dovetail increased their commitments. The company says it has signed more than 100 enterprise customers in just six quarters, including Google, Emirates, and KFC, who use its platform for marketing, product visualization, learning and development, entertainment, fan engagement, customer support, and sales. Founder Shourya Agarwal explained that interactive content is the next default for the internet, noting that the technology to make it effortless at scale was missing until now. Flam holds more than 15 patents and offers three core formats: Flicks are interactive videos that switch person, product, or scene mid-playback using a patented compression algorithm; Forge is an editing model that changes only specified elements from image references; and Airboards deliver high‑fidelity 3D content on a camera interface with touch, voice, and haptic feedback. Additional AI models include Fable (image‑to‑video), Visual Agents (human‑like characters that converse and act), and the Falcon 26B‑parameter MoE LLM that responds in under two seconds. In Nigeria, Flam works exclusively with SmartSense Technologies, whose CEO Dr. Seyi said the country’s sharp, mobile‑first audience makes interactive content especially effective for African brands, agencies, and publishers. The new capital will fund research and development on Flam’s AI models, expand the product suite, and scale enterprise sales globally.
