Senator Abiodun Olujimi, former Ekiti South lawmaker (2015-2023), urged Nigerians to exercise patience with ongoing economic reforms, asserting they've stabilized the economy and prosperity is imminent. Speaking on Channels Television, she highlighted foreign exchange market unification as proof—now international traders accept Naira directly instead of demanding foreign currency for transactions.

These reforms, initiated since President Tinubu's May 2023 inauguration, eliminated petroleum subsidies and floated the naira, pushing fuel prices from approximately ₦200 per litre to over ₦1,300 nationwide. Critics contend this exacerbated living costs, but Olujimi and the government maintain short-term sacrifice is necessary for long-term national development, arguing enduring current hardship will yield future gains.

Olujimi specifically urged citizens to "bear it" through present difficulties, stating prosperity is "staring us in the face." With fuel expenses continuing to strain household budgets across Nigeria, will you modify your spending habits or business operations to adapt to these persistent economic shifts, or align with voices advocating policy reversal?
