FRSC has issued a nationwide warning to motorists to avoid dangerous driving habits as Muslims prepare for Eid-el-Kabir celebrations. Zonal Commanding Officer Shoba B. Akande specifically cautioned against speeding, dangerous overtaking, overloading, route violations, and driving under fatigue. The Corps has deployed over 1,500 personnel, patrol vehicles, and ambulances across major highways and black spots to ensure safer travel during the festive period.

Passengers are urged to speak up when drivers engage in unsafe practices that could put lives at risk. FRSC has also strengthened enforcement against reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The Corps emphasized that road users must obey traffic rules to complement enforcement efforts.

For emergency assistance, the FRSC's emergency lines 122 and 112 remain active round the clock. With increased traffic expected during the Eid celebrations, motorists are advised to plan their journeys carefully, rest adequately before long trips, and report any dangerous driving to the authorities. Will you adjust your driving habits or speak up as a passenger to ensure safer roads during this festive period?
