Funke Akindele announces Dec 11 release for new film 'The Four'
Funke Akindele's latest film, The Four: No One Fights Alone, is set for a cinema release on 11 December 2026, with FilmOne Entertainment handling distribution and her company FAAN TV as producer. Akindele wrote, directed, and produced the film, which features an ensemble cast including Richard Mofe-Damijo, Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha, Waje, Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Ali Nuhu, Uzor Arukwe, Wunmi Toriola, and many others.
The Four is described as an emotionally driven drama centred on friendship, motherhood, resilience and the strength of ordinary women, following Esosa and three loyal women fighting to secure a young man’s future. The film continues Akindele’s successful December release streak: A Tribe Called Judah (2023) grossed ₦1.4 billion, Everybody Loves Jenifa (2024) ₦1.88 billion, and Behind The Scenes (December 2025) ₦2.76 billion.
