Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has explained why she stopped attending church services in person, revealing that attention often shifts to her rather than the worship. In a Snapchat video posted Sunday, the actress disclosed that 'Anytime I go to church, I am always the one they take pictures of. So I will join online.'

The popular actress, who publicly identified with the Celestial Church of Christ in 2022, mentioned previously going to the church quietly at night for solutions during challenges. She explained her decision to stop hiding and publicly associate with the church back then, but now finds the attention during services disruptive.

Akindele now joins church services online instead of attending in person, stating this allows her to focus on the worship without being the center of attention during services.
