Manchester United legend Gary Neville believes Chelsea's Cole Palmer would be 'gold' for the Red Devils if signed for manager Michael Carrick. The 24-year-old, however, is unlikely to leave Stamford Bridge this summer according to Neville. Palmer was heavily linked with a move away from Chelsea at the end of last season after struggling with form and fitness, which led to his exclusion from England's World Cup squad by manager Thomas Tuchel. Neville compared a potential Palmer signing to past 'gold' transfers at United like Bryan Robson, Harry Kane, Rio Ferdinand, Wayne Rooney, and Roy Keane. The pundit acknowledged that such players only become available 'every few years.'
