Germany cuts fuel taxes, Philippines reduces LPG prices amid Middle East energy crisis

Germany slashing fuel taxes by 17 euro cents ($0.19) for two months to ease energy costs since US-Israeli war against Iran. Chancellor Merz called the war "the root cause of the problems we face in our own country." Employers can give tax-free bonuses up to 1,000 euros to workers. Philippines reducing LPG taxes by 3.36 pesos/kg and kerosene by 5.60 pesos/liter, with possible gasoline/diesel adjustments. Local diesel prices more than doubled to 145 pesos ($2.41) per liter since war start. Germany's economic growth forecast cut to 0.6% (from 1.3%).
