Ghana summons South African envoy over xenophobic attacks on Ghanaians

Videos circulating online show Ghanaians being harassed, and Ghana's foreign ministry has advised its citizens to remain indoors for safety. There are approximately 2.4 million foreign-born people in South Africa, about 4% of the population.

During the meeting, Ablakwa emphasized Ghana's support for South Africa's anti-apartheid struggle and noted that attacks on law-abiding migrants contradict African solidarity principles.
