Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced Saturday the country is halting missile strikes on neighboring countries unless attacked first. This follows repeated strikes on Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Pezeshkian apologized to affected nations during a televised speech, stating future attacks will only occur in response to aggression. "From now on, they should not attack neighboring countries or fire missiles at them, unless we are attacked by those countries," he said. The move comes after Iran's temporary leadership council discussed the issue following the deaths of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other leaders. Pezeshkian also dismissed US demands for unconditional surrender as a "dream that they should take to their grave."
