"It’s Like a Spell": BOUESTI Students Urge SUG to Act Against Neolife/FHG Amidst Growing Outcry
Following the recent suspension of Neolife and Faith Heroic Group (FHG) activities at neighboring institutions EKSU and FUTA, a wave of concern is sweeping through the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology (BOUESTI).
Concerned students are now calling on the Student Union Government, led by Team IFHY, to intervene, citing alarming reports of academic disruption and financial exploitation.
School wey our parents dey suffer pay for
Reports reaching campus news outlets describe a situation where the network marketing groups have shifted from simple "hustles" to what some students describe as a "spell." Witnesses claim that aggressive recruitment tactics are causing students to skip classes, miss tests, and even contemplate "pausing" their education to focus fully on meeting sales targets.
"I’ve seen people skip classes for meetings. I’ve seen people under pressure because they haven’t hit targets," one concerned student stated. When you try to advise them, they look at you like the enemy of progress. It’s starting to feel like once you enter, your ears just close.
The "Vision" vs. Reality Critics of the group argue that the promise of financial freedom is becoming a trap for vulnerable freshers.
"Person go join yesterday, today he don turn motivational speaker," another source noted. "Vision wey dey make you miss test? That one no be motivation. That one na something else."
Call for Regulation With FUTA and EKSU taking decisive action to ban these groups due to "harassment and distraction," the pressure is now on the BOUESTI Student Union to protect its members.
