JAMB explains how to update phone number or email on portal – visit CBT centre for email changes
JAMB has outlined procedures for candidates seeking to update their phone number or email address linked to their profiles. Candidates who forgot their profile passwords can reset them by sending "PASSWORD", followed by a space and their registered email address, to 55019 or 66019 via SMS. However, candidates wishing to change their email address cannot complete this process directly through the JAMB portal and must visit a JAMB office or an accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre for assistance. At these centres, candidates must provide relevant registration details and the new email address they wish to use, after which authorised personnel will process the request. JAMB emphasised that any new email address provided must be active and accessible, as important admission and examination-related information will be sent to the email linked to the candidate's profile. The examination body also noted that candidates can access correction-of-data services through its official channels, while some profile updates may attract prescribed fees and require physical verification at accredited centres. Candidates experiencing difficulties with their JAMB profiles are advised to seek assistance through JAMB’s official support channels or accredited CBT centres to ensure they receive timely updates about examinations and admissions.
