JAMB restores CAPS, sets Oct 31-Dec 31 admission deadlines for 2026/2027

JAMB has restored its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) after a temporary disruption, announcing the platform is fully operational in a statement issued Monday. The board directed tertiary institutions to speed up admission exercises and urged candidates to promptly accept available offers. For the 2026/2027 academic session, public universities must complete admissions by October 31, 2026; private universities by November 30, 2026; and other tertiary institutions by December 31, 2026. JAMB also advised candidates awaiting NECO SSCE results to upload or verify their credentials following the release, ensuring their scores are available for consideration. The board apologized for the inconvenience caused by the interruption and thanked stakeholders for their patience. CAPS enables institutions to recommend candidates while allowing candidates to monitor and accept admission offers online.
