JAMB Restores CAPS, Sets Oct 31 & Nov 30 Uni Admission Deadlines
JAMB announced on Monday that its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) is fully restored after a temporary disruption, clearing the way for institutions to continue processing admissions for the 2026/2027 academic session. The board urged universities and other tertiary institutions to accelerate their admission processes to recover lost time and meet the approved deadlines. Public universities must complete their admissions by October 31, 2026, while private universities have until November 30, 2026 to finish. JAMB also advised candidates who receive admission offers to accept them promptly and to upload or verify their credentials following the release of the 2026 NECO Senior School Certificate Examination results, ensuring their details are available for consideration as institutions intensify processing. The restoration means the CAPS portal is now operational for uploading credentials, checking admission status, and accepting offers. Candidates should monitor their emails and the JAMB portal for updates and act quickly to secure their places before the deadlines lapse.
