Jim Iyke told interviewer Joey Akan that the Nigerian entertainment industry is dominated by ‘demons’ and was created to extol satanism. He said the industry is "the biggest enabler" of satanic values, where many practitioners serve themselves rather than God, which he equates to satanism. Iyke recalled feeling special when fans cried or fainted at his presence, later realizing that feeling was self‑worship. He argued that creating art mimics God, but when creators serve self instead of the divine, it becomes a conflict of interest and amounts to worshipping oneself as a god‑like figure. He warned that anyone who thinks they should be worshipped or above the law is literally worshipping Satan, and urged those in the industry to consciously seek God to find true worth.

For Nigerians who consume Nollywood films, music, or consider careers in entertainment, this claim raises questions about the moral direction of the industry and what values are being promoted. It may prompt consumers to scrutinize the messages in the media they consume and consider how celebrity culture influences personal beliefs and behavior.

When you watch a movie or listen to a song, do you consider whether its message uplifts or undermines your values, and how might you adjust your media habits accordingly?
