Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo has dismissed the opposition's planned summit for the 2027 general elections as a 'journey to nowhere'. In a post on his verified X handle on Saturday, Keyamo reacted to the G-100 coalition's efforts to field a single presidential candidate against President Bola Tinubu's APC. The G-100, comprising parties such as the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), and People Redemption Party (PRP), had originally set its summit for August 18 but moved it to August 31, 2026, to allow further consultations after the National Peace Summit. One of its conveners, Salihu Lukman, said the group remains optimistic about presenting a unified presidential contender to challenge the ruling party.
