Kwankwaso spoke after Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and his allies were officially received into the APC. Kwankwaso described the development as painful and disappointing but added that only God knows the real reason behind it. He said he was praying that the outcome would still turn out well for his supporters. He also congratulated members of the Kano State House of Assembly who won the recent elections in Ungogo and parts of Kano Municipal, even though, according to him, voter turnout was low. Kwankwaso ended by wishing all Kwankwasiyya supporters well and said those who followed the government into the APC could still return, noting that the door remains open.
