Lagos ports handle 2.39 million tonnes of crude oil imports in August

Lagos ports recorded 2,392,354 metric tonnes of crude oil imports in August, with 1,867,712 tonnes arriving at Lekki Deep Sea Port in the first week and another 524,742 tonnes scheduled for discharge at Apapa Quays before month‑end. Bulk wheat followed at 321,849 tonnes, aviation fuel at 118,000 tonnes and bulk fertiliser at 44,000 tonnes. Additional data up to August 10 showed 1,525,612 tonnes of crude oil already landed, alongside 245,600 tonnes of aviation fuel, 104,000 tonnes of automotive gas oil and 99,000 tonnes of bulk urea. The Lekki port handled 25 vessels in the first ten days, recording no containerised cargo.
