Man City agree deal with Enzo Maresca as Guardiola's replacement

Man City have reached agreement with Enzo Maresca to become Pep Guardiola's replacement if the current manager leaves Etihad Stadium at the end of this season. Transfer expert Nicolo Schira revealed the 37-year-old Italian has an agreement in principle with the Cityzens for a contract until 2028 with an option for 2029. "It is now up to Guardiola to decide what to do as Maresca is waiting," Schira stated in a weekend post. The situation remains in flux with Guardiola having a year left on his current contract. Though the 55-year-old recently "cleared the air" regarding his future at Man City, he has been consistently linked with a potential move away from the Premier League giants.
