Meta Connect 2026: New smart glasses launched, Nigeria awaits local release

Meta Connect 2026 unveiled new smart glasses, a lighter VR headset, and a pocket AI device called Muse Charm. The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 starts at $449 and is on sale now in supported markets; the audio-only Ray-Ban Meta Audio costs $349 with pre‑orders open and ships October 13; the cheapest Meta Adventurer is $249 and ships October 23; the LISA edition with BLACKPINK’s LISA starts at $399; the Meta VR Glasses are priced at $1,299.99 and expected in spring 2027; Muse Charm has no announced price or release date. South Africa is among 12 new markets set to receive Ray‑Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses later in 2026, but Meta has not announced any launch for Nigeria or Kenya. Nigerians may find imported units on Jumia, Konga, Jiji or Slot, but should verify the exact model, warranty, which AI features work locally, and the seller’s return price. Key features such as hearing enhancement ($149.99 add‑on), hologram calls on Display, and cycling/transit directions are limited to the US, US‑Canada, and US respectively, while Muse shopping partners are mostly US stores. Prices in Nigeria will vary with exchange rates and import costs.
