Moses Simon celebrates 100 Super Eagles caps after Madagascar win

Moses Simon made his 100th appearance for Nigeria’s Super Eagles on Friday night as Éric Chelle’s side defeated Madagascar’s Barea 2-1 in an AFCON 2027 qualifier. Simon came on for Akor Adams in the 61st minute to reach the milestone. After the match, the 31-year-old Paris FC winger was presented with a special commemorative frame featuring a Super Eagles jersey bearing his name and the number 100. Speaking at the post‑match press conference, Simon said he never imagined reaching 100 caps, calling it a dream come true and thanking the coach, fellow coaches, journalists and everyone who supported his journey with the national team. The victory moved the Super Eagles to second place in their AFCON 2027 qualifying group behind Guinea‑Bissau.
