NAHCON on Thursday approved five airlines—Air Peace Limited, Flynas, Max Air Limited, Saudi Air, and UMZA Aviation Services Limited—to airlift Nigerian pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj. The approval followed a rigorous screening by the Aviation Screening Committee focusing on regulatory safety, operational capacity, and financial requirements. Engagement is contingent upon signing airlift agreements with NAHCON and meeting standards set by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority and Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation.

Passenger allocations and flight schedules will be developed with State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards and the carriers. Approved airlines must issue tickets linked to pilgrims’ Nusuk‑Masar data, observe all safety standards, and provide a baggage allowance of one 32 kg checked bag plus one 8 kg hand luggage, as stipulated by regulators. NAHCON urges all stakeholders to cooperate with the designated carriers to ensure a safe, seamless, and comfortable airlift.

Intending pilgrims should stay tuned to their State Welfare Boards for allocation details, ensure their Nusuk‑Masar profiles are complete, and note the baggage limits. Airlines and agencies must finalize agreements and comply with Hajj 2027 regulations to avoid disruptions.
