Ehiozuwa Agbonayinwa, NDC senatorial aspirant, accuses party national leader Seriake Dickson of overriding primary election results. Agbonayinwa claims he won the May 29 NDC senatorial primary but Dickson plans to give the ticket to another candidate.

The aggrieved aspirant made the allegation during an interview on Channels Television's 'Politics Today' on Friday. He highlighted that NDC conducted primaries on May 29 but has not announced results six days later. 'Dickson disappointed me totally,' Agbonayinwa stated. 'He told me to get the NDC Senate ticket, and I won the primary. The same Dickson is now saying the party will do affirmation for one Ijaw lady instead of going with the primary election result.'

The aspirant referenced Aisha Yesufu's protest at the NDC national secretariat, suggesting internal party tensions. With reports of massively rigged NDC primaries in other regions, this dispute highlights internal power struggles within the party that could affect voter confidence.
