NDDC Managing Director Samuel Ogbuku briefed President Tinubu on progress of long-delayed Niger Delta projects during a meeting at State House, Abuja on Wednesday. The Commission highlighted completed projects including a 650-bed student hostel at Niger Delta University, Amassoma, Bayelsa State, and an electrification project in Oron, Akwa Ibom State.

Ogbuku invited the President to officially inaugurate these projects, describing them as proof of the Federal Government's commitment to sustainable development in the region. Several major projects are at advanced stages, including the Kaa–Ataba Road and Bridge in Rivers State, the Niger Delta Regional Specialist Hospital, and the 70.75km Omadino-Okerenkoko-Escravos Road in Warri North LGA (developed with Delta State and Chevron).

President Tinubu urged the agency to focus on completing inherited projects for community benefit, with progress largely driven by sustained presidential support. More commissioning ceremonies are expected as these projects near completion.
