NDLEA operatives intercepted over 1.3 million tramadol and opioid pills, 6,000 kilograms of potent cannabis, and other drugs with a combined street value exceeding N3.4 billion in coordinated raids across Lagos, Edo, Niger, Delta, Ondo, Gombe, Imo and the FCT. Highlights include the seizure of 1,200 parcels of "Canadian Loud" synthetic cannabis weighing 603.75 kg valued at N1.8 billion from a Montreal-bound container at Tin-Can Island Port, and the arrest of a 49-year-old man posing as a police officer with 292.48 kg of skunk on the Benin-Onitsha expressway. Additional recoveries featured 1.1 million assorted tramadol tablets, codeine and methamphetamine en route from Onitsha to Mararaba, 48 kg of cannabis from an auto-repair workshop in Benin City, and 998.38 kg of nitrous oxide gas in Lagos. NDLEA also destroyed 5,000 kg of skunk on a two-hectare farm in Ondo and arrested suspects in multiple states. The agency's War Against Drug Abuse sensitisation reached schools, worship centres and workplaces nationwide last week.

Given the scale of these operations, how can communities strengthen local vigilance and support NDLEA’s War Against Drug Abuse to curb the flow of illicit substances?
