Ndume tells Tinubu: incapable hands will keep messing him up unless he acts
Senator Ali Ndume of Borno South told Arise Television that President Bola Tinubu lacks capable hands in his administration, warning that those he described as ‘incapable’ and ‘kakistocrats’ will keep messing him up unless he takes action. His remarks followed the discovery of a fake agency, the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), operating within the Presidency, which was uncovered by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF George Akume. Ndume said the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) investigated and found even more irregularities, leading to the suspension of several Permanent Secretaries attached to the Presidency. He accused the President of tolerating mismanagement and embarrassment, stating that if Tinubu had competent aides, such issues would not arise. The lawmaker’s critique points to internal dysfunction that could affect governance and public confidence in the administration.
Will President Tinubu respond by removing the alleged kakistocrats and strengthening his team, or will these internal challenges continue to undermine his presidency and affect policy delivery?
