NFF approaches Newcastle striker Osula for Super Eagles switch

Nigeria Football Federation has reached out to Newcastle United striker William Osula about potentially representing the Super Eagles. The 22-year-old is eligible through his French-Nigerian father, born to a Danish mother. Osula has featured for Denmark at youth level but hasn't played for their senior team despite a March call-up for World Cup qualifiers. Football journalist Farzam Abolhosseini confirmed the NFF's initial approach to the Premier League forward. The striker has always identified with his Nigerian roots despite his Denmark youth career. It remains unclear if Osula will accept the switch to represent Nigeria at senior level, which could strengthen the national team's attacking options.
