NICE launches Pipeline Clinics for businesses in six Nigerian innovation clusters
NICE has opened applications for its Pipeline Clinics, a sector-focused programme to help Nigerian businesses and entrepreneurs strengthen operations and position for sustainable growth. The clinics target six priority innovation clusters: agro‑processing in Kano, manufacturing in Abia and Ogun, health in Oyo, minerals in Akwa Ibom, and cybersecurity in Abuja. Implemented by The Nest Innovation Technology Park in partnership with the UK‑Nigeria Tech Hub under the UK Government’s Digital Access Programme, with collaboration from the Office for Nigerian Digital Innovation (ONDI).
Unlike generic training, the clinics address each cluster’s specific needs, covering innovation management, access to facilities and partners, prototyping, partnerships and peer exchange. UK‑based Experts‑in‑Residence will provide specialised knowledge in innovation strategy, incubation models and technology validation. The initiative aims to boost competitiveness, scale sustainable solutions and reduce fragmentation in Nigeria’s innovation ecosystem, leading to collaborative innovation sprints after the clinics.
Eligible applicants are Nigerian‑owned or Nigeria‑based businesses with an existing business, startup, prototype, product, service or clear business model that operates in, supports or is relevant to at least one of the six clusters. They must have a clear business challenge, growth opportunity or development need the programme can address. Priority may go to businesses showing growth potential, innovative products, market traction, expansion readiness, investment readiness, job‑creation potential or strong cluster contribution. Applicants must commit time, share relevant business information and apply the clinic’s learning.
