Nigeria Archery Federation Restructures Leadership
Two prominent Nigerian archers, Aliyu Garga and Olatayo Olasehinde, have been appointed to key leadership roles within the Nigeria Archery Federation (NAF). Mr Garga, president of ARCH Archery Club, becomes National Head Coach of the Nigerian archery team, while Mr Olasehinde takes on the role of Director of Strategy and Information Communication Technology. Both men were instrumental in Nigeria's recent archery renaissance, including winning two silver medals at the 2022 African Archery Championships in Pretoria and securing 10 gold medals at the 2023 Abidjan championships. The appointments, approved by NAF President Abdullahi Muhammed, aim to strengthen institutional capacity and expand archery's reach across Nigeria through roles like Director of Women Development and Grassroots Development.
