Nigeria celebrates first peaceful festive season in 12 years, Omokri claims
Former presidential aide Reno Omokri declared Nigeria's 2025 Christmas, New Year and Eid el-Fitr celebrations the first peaceful festive period in over a decade. Citing Christian Association of Nigeria leader Daniel Okoh, Omokri noted the absence of bombings, killings, abductions or disruptions during the holidays. He credited security agencies for the achievement, listing arrests of bandit leaders including Kachalla Ali Kawaje and Sule Yellow. Omokri also highlighted unprecedented fuel availability during the period but criticized activists for not highlighting the positive developments.
