The Nigeria Customs Service has published the final list of successful candidates for its 2024/2025 recruitment into the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Customs II. Successful applicants can confirm their status on the official NCS website or in selected national newspapers. They will receive further instructions by email or SMS, directing them to upload a valid Medical Certificate of Fitness from a government‑recognised hospital via the portal update.customs.gov.ng, which opens on Wednesday, 29 July 2026. Candidates must complete the upload within one week, update their current state of residence on the portal, and click the 'Accept Offer' button to retain their provisional appointment. Failure to meet the deadline will result in loss of the offer. After completing these steps, successful candidates will receive their Trainee Identification Number within one week, while details on required documentation and the subsequent physical screening will be communicated later. The recruitment exercise began on 27 December 2024 after approval to fill 3,927 vacancies across the Superintendent, Inspector and Customs Assistant cadres. An IT‑driven shortlisting process automatically verified age and academic qualifications, followed by a nationwide computer‑based test held between 14 and 21 September 2025. The portal for final screening updates opened in April 2026 and closed on 10 May 2026. Release of the final ASC II list marks another milestone, moving candidates toward medical verification and final onboarding.
