Nigeria-EU sign historic science pact to boost African innovation

Nigeria and the European Union signed a landmark science and technology agreement in Abuja, ending a 20-year hiatus to position Nigeria as Africa's innovation hub. The pact establishes a dedicated EU-Nigeria Joint Science and Technical Cooperation Committee to ensure concrete outcomes beyond standard action plans.
