Nigeria Inflation Eases to 15.1% in Jan 2026
Nigeria's headline inflation dropped to 15.1% in January 2026 from 15.15% in December 2025, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The NBS adopted a new methodology that better reflects real-world prices. This development precedes the Central Bank of Nigeria's Monetary Policy Committee meeting scheduled for February 23-24, 2026.
