Team Nigeria concluded the Ulaanbaatar 2026 United World Wrestling 3rd Ranking Series with one silver and two bronze medals on Saturday in Mongolia. Hannah Ojo secured silver after defeating Tuvshinjargal Tarav 10-0 and Priya of India 5-1, before losing to Kajal of India 0-8 in the final. Esther Kolawole claimed bronze with a 10-0 victory over Huan Yang of China, and also beat Russian world number one Amina Tandelova 6-0 in her run to the bronze medal match.

The medals bring Nigeria's total to three from four female wrestlers who represented the country: Mercy Genesis (50kg), Tolulope Ogunsanya (53kg), Esther Kolawole (62kg), and Hannah Ojo (76kg). These victories are significant as they provide crucial seeding points for upcoming global championships, positioning Nigerian wrestlers favorably in international competitions.

The tournament, which started on June 4 and concluded Saturday, is the third of four UWW Ranking Series events on the annual calendar. With these performances, Nigerian female wrestling continues to strengthen its presence on the world stage, building momentum for future competitions where seeding points gained from such events can determine bracket placements and opponents.
