Nigerian Army conducted coordinated nationwide operations within last 24 hours, arresting over 20 suspected terrorists and criminals across Kogi, Kaduna, Sokoto, Kwara, Edo, Delta, Rivers, Plateau and Abia states. In Kogi, troops arrested 2 suspects with motorcycles and chainsaws recovered; Sokoto forces rescued a Nigerien national held captive for weeks, destroyed a terrorist camp and disposed an IED; Edo troops apprehended 5 kidnappers recovering an AK-47 with ammunition; Delta operations netted 6 drug suspects with N431,500 cash and substances seized; Rivers dismantled illegal oil infrastructure; Plateau intercepted 9 suspects with firearms; Abia addressed suspected oil theft along Imo River axis.

These operations disrupted terrorist hideouts, kidnapping syndicates, drug networks and illegal bunkering, highlighting cross-border threats and multi-agency collaboration with police and local vigilantes. The rescues and recoveries demonstrate ongoing security challenges requiring sustained pressure on criminal networks operating across state and national borders.

While security forces maintain pressure through intelligence-led offensives, public vigilance remains crucial—report suspicious activities to authorities via emergency lines 112 or 767 to support community safety efforts.
