Nigerian Army opens free online application for Direct Short Service Commission
The Nigerian Army has announced the 29/2026 Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) opening for applications from January 7 to February 4, 2026. The commission is available to both civilians and serving military personnel seeking officer positions in selected corps including Engineers, Signals, Medical Corps, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, and Education Corps.
Applications are completely free and must be submitted online through the official portal at www.recruitment.army.mil.ng. The Army emphasized that there are no application fees and warned against dealing with unauthorized agents.
