Nigerian Box Office Hits N30B in 3 Years, Surpasses 2.8M Admissions in 2025

Nigerian cinemas generated over N30 billion in gross revenue between 2023 and 2025, with 2025 marking the industry's highest gross at N15.6 billion from 2.8 million admissions. This represents 48% year-on-year revenue growth and 6% admission growth, supported by 122 operating cinemas nationwide. While audience numbers declined to 2.6 million in 2023, recovery in 2024 and 2025 brought admissions back to 2.7 million and 2.8 million respectively, though pre-2022 highs remain unachieved. Filmhouse Samonda led with N384.76 million in 2025 ticket sales, followed by Silverbird Ikeja and Genesis Festival Mall.
