The list includes veterans like Tom Njemanze (prostate cancer, 2025), Majek Fashek (esophageal cancer, 2020), and Sonny Okosun (colon cancer, 2008). More recent losses include singer Aduke Gold (cervical cancer, 2024) and actor Karibi Fubara (kidney cancer, 2021).

Many of these stars made their battles public, raising awareness about cancer in Nigeria.
