Nigerian equities hit record high in February rally
Nigerian equities surged 16.60% in February 2026, closing at 192,826.8 points to set a new record. Total trading volume exceeded 21 billion shares, up from January's 15 billion, while market capitalization rose to N123.7 trillion from N106.1 trillion. This marks three consecutive positive months since November 2025's 6.88% decline, extending the winning streak since January 2024's 35.28% surge. Top performers included Red Star Express (53.61% gain), Custodian Investment (54.55%), and JaizBank Plc (57.88%).
