The Federal Government through NIMENA will connect Nigerian startups with international investors in Singapore on April 24, 2026. The initiative targets maritime and energy sector startups, aiming to position Nigeria as an innovation-driven maritime economy rather than resource-dependent.

Dr. Azubuike Chuku, NIMENA National General Secretary, announced the program bringing together domestic stakeholders with global investment opportunities. National Chairman Dr. Efereb Sylvanus emphasized this as part of ongoing efforts to encourage international collaboration in Nigeria's maritime and energy industries.

Nigerian startups in these sectors now have a direct pathway to international capital through this government-facilitated program. This represents a strategic shift toward building innovation infrastructure rather than relying solely on natural resources.

Will your startup in maritime or energy be attending this Singapore connection event, or do you see other international markets as more promising for your business?
