Nigerian reggae artist Nico Gravity is urgently appealing for financial help to treat heart and kidney-related ailments. In a video shared on Instagram, the singer revealed he's been diagnosed with heart failure and is experiencing kidney complications after high blood pressure affected his organs. "I'm always feeling exhausted. I have been urinating blood, which is a kidney issue," he said, adding that doctors have three more tests for him to run urgently.

The artist, known for bold social commentary songs, said he has spent all his money on medical care and cannot work to generate more income. "My heart is not working well. Please, I need help. I don't want to die," he pleaded in the video, which was also shared by fellow artiste Baba Fryo.

Born Paul Nnamdi Okpara, Nico rose to prominence in 2009 with the controversial song 'Finish Timaya' and recently released 'Tinubu Tax' criticizing President Bola Tinubu's tax regime. With his kidneys showing "serious problems" according to doctors, he's calling for immediate financial support to complete his treatment.

As artists face increasing financial challenges, how can we better support entertainers when medical emergencies threaten their livelihoods and careers?
