Nigerian striker Akor Adams (26) is thriving in Spanish LaLiga since moving from France's Ligue 1 to Sevilla FC. Speaking to journalists during a LALIGA interactive session Tuesday, Adams highlighted key differences between the leagues: 'Ligue 1 is more raw and physical, with a lot of young players. But LaLIGA is more tactical and technical. There is more focus on details and experience.'

The tactical shift has required Adams to think faster, improve his movement, and pay closer attention to instructions. Despite multiple coaching changes, Sevilla's core identity—emphasizing defensive solidity and direct attacking play—has eased his adjustment.

Adams draws inspiration from experienced teammates like Chilean veteran Alexis Sánchez: 'You can see that he is football. He thinks football, he speaks football. In training, I watch how he makes decisions and how he moves in the box.'

His performances have earned him a nomination for the 2025/26 SPORTY LALIGA MVP award, recognizing the best African player in Spain's top flight. 'I don't rate my season until it is done,' Adams said. 'I want to score more goals and create more assists to help the team.'
