NREIT launches N30.4 billion Series 6 Offer to expand real estate portfolio
Nigeria Real Estate Investment Trust (NREIT) has opened its N30.4 billion Series 6 Offer, offering 289.63 million units at N105 per unit under the N400 billion Issuance Programme. The offer opened July 9, 2026, with proceeds targeted for acquiring high-quality income-generating real estate assets across commercial, office, and industrial segments.
The Fund currently holds over N180 billion in capitalization, making it Nigeria's largest REIT. Upon completion, total capitalization will exceed N210 billion, further cementing its market leadership. This sixth capital raise since 2020 follows strong Q1 2026 performance—pre-tax profit hit N3.19 billion (up 333.6% from N736.56 million in Q1 2025), with total comprehensive income reaching N3.09 billion.
REITs provide exposure to real estate without direct property ownership, appealing to investors seeking stable returns amid inflation concerns. NREIT, SEC-registered and Shariah-compliant, focuses exclusively on Nigerian market assets and has delivered 21 consecutive quarterly distributions to unitholders. The Fund traded on Nigerian Exchange Limited aims to deepen the local REIT market through strategic acquisitions.
With real estate investment gaining traction among retail and institutional investors, this expansion positions NREIT to capture more rental income streams while offering potential inflation hedging. Units trade on NGX, providing liquidity for investors seeking diversified real estate exposure.
