NSCDC deploys 56,000 officers nationwide for Eid-el-Kabir security
NSCDC has mobilized over 56,000 personnel across Nigeria to ensure security during Eid-el-Kabir celebrations. The deployment includes specialized tactical squads: Mining Marshals, Special Intelligence Squad, Crack Squad, Female Special Force, and Rapid Response Squad, all placed on high alert.
Commandant General Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi directed immediate mobilization of operational vehicles, ambulances, boats, and K9 units for rapid response during emergencies. Zonal Commanders will supervise State Commandants, who in turn will monitor Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, and Outpost Heads.
Citizens are encouraged to provide timely security information to help personnel respond quickly. NSCDC issued stern warning against anyone planning to cause disruption or vandalize public infrastructure during the festivities, stating they will arrest and prosecute offenders.
Will you report any suspicious activities to security agencies or avoid crowded areas during the celebrations?
