DAILY POST had reported that Kwankwaso, a former governor and the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, had announced his resignation from the party with immediate effect. Also in the state is a former governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi. Kwankwaso is expected to collect his ADC membership card later on Monday (today). Amaechi was received in Kano by the former Deputy Governor of the state, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo. Other prominent political figures, including Senator Marafa, Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita, and several northern political leaders, are currently with Kwankwaso in Kano ahead of the anticipated declaration. Meanwhile, Kano Central Senator, Rufai Sani Hanga, of the Kwankwasiyya movement, and former APC governorship candidate in Kano, Dr. Nasiru Gawuna, are reportedly in a strategic meeting to finalize plans and arrangements for Kwankwaso’s formal entry into the ADC. As of the time of filing this report, thousands of supporters have gathered at Kwankwaso’s residence in Kano.
