Declaring the seminar open, the Speaker, Oludaisi Elemide, represented by Lukman Adeleye, stressed the importance of effective time management and continuous capacity building. He also outlined essential principles of time management including planning, organising, prioritising tasks, focusing on one activity at a time, avoiding distractions and learning to decline unnecessary engagements. According to him, proper planning remained the most reliable technique for achieving productivity. In his remarks, Babatunde Tella reiterated the need for members to make efficient use of their time to enhance productivity, reduce stress and improve the quality of their legislative duties. In her closing remarks, the Assembly’s Chief Whip, Omolola Bakare, described the session as impactful and engaging, with a lot of benefits for all the political office holders. She urged the lawmakers to put the lessons learnt to use.
