Ladipo Johnson, Convener of the OK Movement, insists there has been no leadership change in the political platform supporting Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, despite social media announcements. Johnson told DAILY POST that Jackie Wayas, an admin of the movement's X (Twitter) handle, hijacked the account using her password access to post fake appointments naming Peter Ameh as Director-General, Muhammad Hamisu as National Secretary, and Sam Amadi as Advisory Council Head. He maintains John Ughulu remains the actual Director-General, noting Wayas acted alone but may have youth supporters. Johnson warned that internal conflicts over leadership could harm their supported candidates' chances by bringing in external agitators. The reports surfaced earlier today July 29, 2026, contradicting the movement's official website which still shows the original leadership structure. When political groups announce leadership changes via social media, what verification steps do you take before accepting them as true?
